Rev. Nyamekor expressed his satisfaction with the event in a post-walk interview, stating, “I must admit it was a huge success, considering the fact that we achieved our primary objective of creating awareness of the importance of peace ahead of the 2024 general elections.”

The event also succeeded in raising funds for building a library and an ICT center for the town, which will be used to put the town out there as a potential tourism destination.

During the walk, the organizers appealed to traditional leaders in the area and the people to protect the peace they are enjoying before, during, and after the general elections in 2024. They preached the importance of uniting as a people to move faster towards development and appealed to all in the area to join the cause and donate to the worthy project.

The walk was sponsored by Jonmoore International Limited and supported by the Member of Parliament for Akatsi North, Peter Nortsu Kotoe, District Chief Executive for Akatsi North, Peter Fosu, and former DCE for Akatsi District (USA), Christian Agbozo.

All in all, the Ave Dakpa Peace Walk was a great success in creating awareness of the importance of peace and development in the community. It is hoped that such events will continue to promote unity and progress in the area.
